EFAdeck™ H2O Heavy epoxy paint

PREPARE THE FLOOR FOR PAINTING:

• Clean the floor thoroughly with a suitable detergent.
• Wash with clean water.
• Allow the floor to dry completely.
• For optimal adhesion, we recommend sanding the floor prior to painting.

Daily cleaning: Do not clean until fully cured. Use detergent. Do not exceed the recommended dosage.

ADHESION TEST OF SURFACE:

• Add droplets of water to the surface.
• If the water is ABSORBED, go to step 3.
• If the water is NOT ABSORBED, follow instructions below.

What to do, if water is not absorbed: 

• Sand the surface, until it is smooth.
• Perform a new adhesion test with water (as above).
• Repeat sanding until the concrete will allow water to penetrate the surface.

Untreated concrete only: Go to step 3 for previously treated concrete.

ENSURE CORRECT ROOM CONDITIONS:

• Room temperature of 15oC or above.
• Room humidity below 85%.
• Floor humidity of max. 10%.

PRIMING THE FLOOR:

Mix & stir priming paint: 

• Empty the bucket with Hardener into the bucket with Concrete Floor Paint.
• Use the enclosed cardboard scraper to ensure that all of the Hardener is used.
• Stir thoroughly for 3 minutes using a stirrer mounted on a drilling machine.
• Add 10% water to the paint and mix for an additional 3 min.

Apply the priming paint: 

• Apply a thin layer of the priming paint with a roller or brush.
• Allow the floor to dry for a minimum of 4 and maximum of 24 hours.
• Ensure good ventilation of the room during the drying process.
• Go to step 5.

Untreated concrete only: Go to step 5 for previously treated concrete.

Self-compacting concrete:
Below paint dilution guide is recommended in order to avoid bubbles or pinholes.

• FIRST PAINT LAYER: Dilute the paint with 50% water.
• SECOND PAINT LAYER: Dilute the paint with 25% water.
• THIRD PAINT LAYER: Do not dilute.

MIX & STIR PAINT:

• Empty the bucket with Hardener into the bucket with Concrete Floor Paint.
• Use the enclosed cardboard scraper to ensure that all of the Hardener is used.
• Stir thoroughly for 3 minutes using a stirrer mounted on a drilling machine.
• Do not dilute the paint.

APPLY THE PAINT:

• Apply a thin layer of the paint with a roller or brush.
• Allow the floor to dry for 48 hours before use.
• Ensure good ventilation of the room during the drying process.
• The paint is fully cured after one week.

Note: Use of different batch numbers may lead to variations in shade unless the batch numbers are mixed prior to application.
