How to get started with spray painting metal
Spray painting metal is easy to apply - but if you follow these tips, you'll be on your way to the very best finish. Before you start spraying, it is important that the surface is free of grease, oil and rust.
1. Make sure to shake the spray can well for at least 1 minute before you start spraying.
2. If you want to ensure the best result, you can test the spray pattern - possibly on a newspaper or paper.
3. When you start spraying - remember to keep a spraying distance of 30-40 cm.
4. The spraying method itself takes place in such a way that you have to move the can back and forth on the object - without stopping along the way.
If you spray outside, you must make sure that you are not standing in the direction of the wind - as you should preferably not inhale the spray fumes, and avoid getting spray paint on your clothes or skin.
You must always ensure good ventilation when you spray, but also when the item needs to dry. It may take a few days before the spray paint is completely dry - and a few weeks before it is fully hardened.
If priming is desired, EFAmetal EFAspray Primer 0790 is recommended.
